Uncontrollable urge...

I watched the movie Connie and Carla the other day, and ever since I have had an uncontrollable urge to do my make up like a Drag Queen. I love drag. One of my best friends in Key West was the most beautiful drag queen in the world. Ivana Richmond.

Isn't he lovely? He doesn't have fake boobs or anythinglike that either!!! I promise. We had lot's of slumber parties and I would have known. He is fabulous!

I want to do my makeup where my eyebrows are covered with makeup and I have drawn on ones like an inch above where they should be.... :)They look fierce through this entire movie! We should all wear drag queen makeup. If not the eyebrows then DEFINITELY use fake lashes.

I really have too much time on my hands!

p.s. HELLO El Paso and Summerville, Texas!

  1. You're a nutter. I can sense how dying to work again you are.
It will all work out in the end. It's just slow right now cos Xmas is on the horizon and everybody slows down, even folks with yachts.
You are still very, very young and have done heaps up till now, so don't fret this off-time, just enjoy it and post more pics of your past forays into sailing, to remind you that it's still out there, that you already did a heap, and to be thankful that you get to spend some quality time with your family and an oven.
I wish I had an oven.

  4. I think you should do your makeup that way tomorrow and post a picture. You'd make a very good drag queen. You already have the boobs.

  7. Oh wow this brought back a memory for me! I worked with a drag queen! He looked more fabulous made up than I did! I couldn't believe what a knock out woman he made! I was jealous! His name was Charles...I miss him, he was a hoot to work with! Yes we should all dress in drag for a day! How fun would that be!? :-)

  8. I love drag. I just hate that men can look so much better all dolled up than I can!
Drag queens are the epitome of glam.

  9. If I were going to have the extreme eyebrows, I'd wax mine off and then paint them on. I think it would be irritating to have them plastered down in make-up. I just don't have a hour to pick at my face to put all the dross on.

  10. You are right Lyvvie, Richmond's eyebrows were waxed off. I can't quite commit to that just now... One day I will. When I am 45 and my mom is 70 and we are sitting on the deck of my tiny house down by the river, I will have drag queen eyes.
